Default amp and starting problems?

Hi guys I am having a problem with my 95 neon not wanting to start very well after I installed my amp, I used 8 awg wire for the amp and that is also what is used for the battery. would this have anything to do with it all of a sudden not wanting to start very quick? should I rewire the battery to 4 gauge wire? well I hope I explained well enough for you all. thanks

If i were you, i would buy a compacitor, and check that out before you go rewiring stuff. Then your amp wont be trying to get power and it will start your car better. Kinda hard to explain i guess, but ya i would go with that.

If your amp is too big it could drain your battery enough to make it not want to start.. I would tell ya to get a deep cycle battery so it could hold a charge longer. Dont buy a cap.

Check the remote turn on wire for the amp and make sure it is wired to only have power when the ignition is on or ACC. And not a constant hot. That'll drain a battery for sure.

TASTE THE HEAT AND ENJOY THE PAIN
