Default sub box?

does anyone else here run a naked box?

i left it bare for now because after all, carpeting is a sound deadener.

when i mad my 1st box i had all kinds of small dings and stuff from sliding into my trunk lid or something metal in the trunk.. well anyways...

i covered b/c of them and then it stopped them from sliding

some of that carpeting is expensive though

ummm, number one, my box was a NIGHTMARE to get into the trunk. the box came out of a sunfire, and we assumed it would fit, no problem, we measured the trunk, but we didnt measure the damn opening. t sucked, but we got it in with no damage.

and i live in the south hills area.

true carpet is a sound deadener but sometimes thats a good thing but in this case it shouldnt matter. i would recommend trying a vented box whenever u get the $$. vented boxes allow the subs to hit harder and hit lower but it isnt that big of a deal. b4 u do that tho id suggest investing in dynomat so you dont rattle that nice car to pieces
