Hey, I have a question about your 06 Stereo installs. I had my install done by a local shop and now my stereo doesnt work when you turn the key backwards to the Accessory position. Did you come across this problem when installing the stereo yourself? If not, where did you get the wireing diagram from, because its annoying. I get to work early in order to get a parking spot and right now i have to have iton the on position which also leaves just about every other electrical component in the truck with power on it, includeing the AC and Heat.
thx

I called the shop that did the install, Discount Auto Sound in Va. They are the top place in Hampton Roads, Va. They say that the way they installed it is the way their computer shows the install. They say there is no way to install it so that it will work in the acc position. I may have to just go buy a kit myself and fix what they screwed up.

Ok, first off thankyou for all the advice. Yesterday I went into my stereo shop to figure out what they had done on my install and why they hadnt used a can bus adapter. Evidently when I got my stereo installed a few months ago the can bus adapters were not on the market. They say it will cost me an aditional 100 bucks to go back and have them rewire the truck for the adapter. Tough decision, but Id rather have it done right, than just done.

Taking the bezel off is easy. Open up the drink holder and once open reach up inside along the front edge (under the shelf below the radio) and you will find two screws - remove these. Once they are out, you have to carefully pull off the entire bezel. It's a little scary, but it snaps right off, and goes back on just as easily.
Hey - since you are putting subs under the rear seat, ... do you have the fold flat floor option in the back, and are you removing it? That's one option mine doesn't have and I miss from my '03. If so, and you are interested in getting rid of it, let me know.

Im not 100% sure of what you are talking about... But im not removing anything from under my seat- therefore nothings for sale... Sorry- and one more question for you- would i be able to run a step down from my factory H/U and run my amp and subs from there... or would the quality be so low it wouldnt be worth doing. Also im wanting to upgrade from the factory 4 speakers setup... any ideas??
