That should be it. Hook up the blue amp wire on the harness to the blue/white or blue (If theres no blue-white) on the headunit.

double check the wires on you wriring harness
some aftermarket harness adapters have a dummy blue/wht wire
for a power ant and also another wire for the amp turn on

03's don't need any special interface. Just the wiring harness. You must have an issue with the factory amp turn on wire. Make sure the setting is correct in the radio to give that wire power. What model is it? Most Pioneers you can get to it by pressing "audio" until you get to the sub setting. You should be able to select it on and off and "norm" and "rev" Make sure it's turned "on" If you have a model with the organic OEL, the picture of the sub will change from and empty basket when it's off,to a complete sub with a cone when it's on. If that setting is off, the amp wire will get no power. To double check, if you have a multi-meter, check to see if you have 12V+ on that blue/white wire when the radio is on.

The amp should still power up with the sub turned off, it jst turns the sub rca out off.

oh really? Ha ha, I figured it turned off the remote wire as well. [sm=oopssign.gif] Guess I never payed attention. Good call. But the rest of the post holds true. Test the amp turn on on the back of the headunit and see if it has 12V+.

Ya....if it was set-up like that, you would have to have the sub out on even if you were using an amp to power speakers.
