why is dodge continually ruining and/or making such crappy looking vehicles..?
i mean the new avenger is a sham...why the hell a 4 door...why just a cheaper charger..?
i dunno...but i think Ma Mopar would feel very ashamed at some of the crap theyve been sitting on the toilet and crapping out...dont get me wrong..im a mopar or no car guy...but they have lost the edge they once had..i mean the gap from a srt-10 ram to this POS is light years apart...;(

Hopefully the new management will get things back on track. But they are behind the power curve and it's going to take a few years to catch up.......

The Avenger is not even close to a sham. It's a great mid size sedan with bad *** looks. Don't concentrate on the name, just like the Charger. It's just a name.

 

i think it should sell pretty good. the article said it was made to compete with the RAV-4, CRV, and Highlander, and you see tons of those out on the road, so why not? i think this will be a popular choice for families who want something safe, affordable, and something that has enough room for a family without the gas consumption, and tank-like size of a full size SUV. any of yall ever tried to park a fullsize truck or SUV in an parking garage in a big city? its not easy ill tell ya that. if i lived in a big city where i was parking in areas like that often, i would drive a midsize instead of a fullsize.

 

Sedan and bad *** looks in the same sentence! HA! But hey dude, whatever floats your boat. If they'd do a 2-door or even an RX-8 type quad-coupe with the same bodystyle, then Id get on board. But personally I think the market is flooded with lame *** sedans.

I dont like this crossover thingy either, but you know its basically an Avenger wagon. So why not just do this and scrap the sedan altogether? This has more room, comparable gas mileage (in fwd form) and better looks. You win 3 times. And while Im not a fan of crossovers at all, they ARE selling. I just think Dodge is a better delivery system for car-based stuff like this than Jeep.

 

Sedans sell better than wagons and coupes. The average consumer isn't looking for a sport coupe.

The best thing about the Avenger is that it isn't one of those "lame ***" sedans..

I do think we need an Avenger coupe, but I'm not gonna hate on this great sedan.
