Surprising. I would think they would kill the SUV line in Dodge/Chrsler, well the Durango/Aspen leaving Nitro and rely on Jeep to be their SUV line.

I could be wrong but doesn't the Wrangler do well? I say keep it, trim out the Compass or Liberty since they have the Nitro. Get a good diesel in them and watch the money roll in.

Jeep has been a bastard child of car companies since WWII. No one has been able to make a sustained profit off of them and the brand ends up getting traded like a dot com stock on the stock market.....too bad.

this would really dissapoint me. my liberty is by far the best chrysler vehicle i have ever come across. i meanthis would really **** me off. i dont think it will happen though. most of the jeep vehicles are cross platform so it would really **** them up to just cut them out.

now if the line workers stopped ****in up vehicles and chrysler would use better materials on the interior this whole problem could of been avoiding

If this somewhat far fetched rumor of Jeep being sold to M&M turns out to be true, perhaps we'll see Jeep-branded diesel pickups in the U.S. before the decade is done.
I wouldn't get too worked up about it yet... I think its more M&M trying to drum up interest in the diesel pickup they are introducing in the US next year

Most of the "line worker problems" are engineering problems. IE, parts do not fit right, or a job is overloaded. But management knows this and yet ships the car anyways. Most of the quality issues fallon managements shoulders.
