Trivia Question
I was talking to a friend of mine (he's a GM guy) and we were discussing the problems between GM / Ford / Chysler.
He stated that Chrysler had never produced a economical car in modern times (i.e. last 20 years). But GM had the GEO Metro and Aveo with 40mpg+
I told him that Chrysler created a economical concept car in the 90's made from recycled plastic bottles and a three cylinder engine. It had sliding windows, etc. He refuses to believe me.
Who's right ? And if I'm right, why can't Chrysler produce it ?

Dodge/Plymouth/Chrysler Neon - 30mpg
That's the only vehicle I can honestly think of that would be classified as economical byChrysler/Dodge. There are of course the Omni, K cars, and the Dodge Charger hatchback that may have gotten 25+mpg....
But to my knowledge, your friend would be correct in that nothing they've released has done better then 30mpg on average..

RE: Trivia Question
The Aveo is Korean and the Geo line is from the Japanese
Averaging 30mpg, no, but the Neon was close. They'll get it right hopefully once the Chrysler Versa comes out
