Chrysler openly states they are dreading the new ram rollout with how bad the market it. Dodge better hope to he'll nissan builds them a good car.

If you bought your warranty through a 3rd party you would be fine as that co didn't go out of biz.

The Titan has a 5.8 that stock anyways, will beat the hemi. Its a bad *** engine. They first came out with the 5.6, then Toyota came out with a 5.7 so Nissan went to a 5.8... The term Hemi, is a trademark name, you can call it whatever you want its only a trademark name, that came from hemispherical form combustion chambers the engines have. Nissan, although its a disposable truck, has less problems then the Dodge Ram. I traded in my beat to hell ford for my Dodge, and the dodge has been in the shop far more times then my Fords ever was just in the first few months of owning it. Cant wait to get rid of it!!!

Chrysler and mercedes split because it was a bad idea. it's hard to do work with company thats a few hundred miles away, never mind the other side of the world. Sure they saved money on reusing designs between the two, but i bet it cost them a whole lot just to keep operations going. splitting engineering of something between two locations is a nightmare, and leads to all sorts of quality issues. that and mercedes was having quality issues of its own, it couldn't support what it thought was a sinking ship. little did it know that chrysler is the comeback king among automotive companies.
Here is straight from the horses mouth why Daimler sold Chrysler....

http://www.iht.com/articles/2007/05/...ss/daimler.php

Remember that every single Mercedes part Chrysler puts in their vehicles, they had to payMercedes a premium/royalty. The LX platform was/is full of Mercedes parts. Heck, even my Pacifica has a Mercedes 6 speed autostick in it.

Daimler stillretained 20% of Chrysler after the sale to Cerberus....

Hear we go again w/ the "Nissan realized the Ram was a great truck, blah blah blah" crap. Nissan did not market their great truck, the TITAN, correctly. Has anyone here ever driven a Titan or a Tundra, or does everyone just make blind sheep/redneck generaliztions? And while I HATE F-150s and Silverados, who in their right mind would say "We need a quality manufacturer to build our truck. Lets go w/ Dodge". Thats f'n laughable!

06 Titan>06 Ram
08 Tundra>08 Ram (never drove an 08 Titan, so I cant say for sure)
09 Ram - we'll see. Im willing to give it a shot, as theyve finally joined the 21st century w/ their interiors.

Heres a great article from Truck Trend, where they compare half tons in 05. Tough break for the Dodge. I got tons more where the Titan is picked over the Dodge, if anyone cares.

No it won't happen, Dodge/Chrysler would lose any and all chances of a comeback from financial hardship
