Not going to happen on an Air Force E-7 retirement check...I'll have to do lots more gold panning/prospecting next spring/summer. Took in a total of about 4 oz this year, about $3400 worth, minus the impurities which would make it about $2800. Subtract an average of $72 per round trip for gas, and it comes to a shade over $2500 (since it's raw gold, I don't pay tax). It's a rough way to make a living, a job at Wal-Mart would be easier, but WTF, I'm doing something I want to do and many others only dream of.....
now if I could only find a way to keep my feet warm in those mountain streams......

It would be great for one or two people, but the rest of the family would have to chase/follow on ATVs!!
