to all the knuckle heads.... no GM means Chrylser will now be owned by a japanese nissan, Who will no doubtedly become aggresive in the coming days to purchase majority holding in chrylser llc. 1 down 2 more to go and the true american auto makers will be a thing of the past. Personally i was more enthused about Gm and Chrylser merging into what rumors were calling American Motors
so to quote the topic line Woooohooooo

"U.S. sales of Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge brands were down almost 26 percent this year through October, and Chrysler's market share has slipped to just 11 percent in October, putting it in an almost dead-heat with Honda Motor Co (7267.T) for the No. 4 spot in the U.S. market."

wouldn't that be a good thing since Honda's are like considered the best of the best? by some people ah hem

Familyguy, GM had already announced if they BOUGHT (not merged) Chrysler, they would eliminate EVERYTHING except 1 to 3 JEEP products. There would be no Chrysler if GM had their way. Renault-Nissan said they were interested in an engineering and design sharing program with a "semi-autonomous" Chrysler. So let's follow the facts with your logic: "I would rather see Chrysler dismantled by GM than have a partnership with Renault-Nissan." Yep, that still seems as stupid in print as in thought.

Cerberus sucks. Chrysler in moving in the right direction. They should give it a few years to flourish!!
If they want GMAC that bad, then buy it outright.
