Having Owned 2 BMW 335s including the 335is I can honestly say that id consider the challenger if it got a Twin turbo. Lets face it The chalengers problem is weight...
I own BMW because of the str8 6
I ahve always wished Chrysler would bring back the basic design of the 170 cubic inch slant 6 and modernize it with Twin Turbos.. the str8 67 makes incredible low end torque the chalenger is easily big enough to fit the engine under its hood with direct injection and other mods your looking at 400 Hp and torque from around 3 liters.. BMW more or less already has this figure from and engine 6 years old.... as they underrate their numbers..
The challenger with BMWs 335is engine would be a much better car and be very near Srt8 6.4 liter performance... id guess 0-60 in 4.9 vs i have heard 4.5 for thr 6.4 thats with the BMW engine with a few tweaks i think they can achive 4.5 With a mopar engine.. i have heard 3.0 liters for the chalenger if they went to 3.7 they would easily be able to hit 450 hp and torque eclipesing 6.4 liter performace..
and this is 2011 not 1990 turbos dont kill a car like they used to better metals.

Ford has replaced the 4.6L with a 3.7L turbo V6 in the pickup and are going to have it in the Mustang, as well. I watched a program on Speed Channel (it was more like an infommercial) and they worked the shiite out of that V6 and it held up surprisingly well and the performance was pretty impressive. The claim to have got 22 mpg overall and most of the 170k miles they were towing heavy stuff. I think Dodge is going to have to come up with a turbo V6 for the Ram to compete, it only makes sense they'll offer it in the Challenger.
