6.1 FOR TRUCK'S
OK, I cant believe they are putting this motor in a Cherokee, and not even offering it in the MegaCab![:@] WTF??!!
The MegaCab need's the option of a BIG gasser, not just the 5.7 or the Cummins.

i think i checked before i quit at the delaership, and the 6.1 wasnt offered in the Rams this coming year, but possibly next year? I mean, it could be offered, and just wasnt listed yet, but as of february, it wasnt shown yet.
Well with the SRT version of the Cherokee it paves way for a Durango SRT-8. Maybe the Durango SRT will look better. So far the SRTs are the best looking of all the Dodge line-up. Even those who hated the Charger fell in love with the Charger SRT-8. The only problem I have is that specific cars should be better than others. Like the Charger and 300 SRTs. They are both 425 HP engines. The Charger should have been made stronger than the 300. Maybe around 450 HP to compete with the Mustang GT500. Then they could leave it in the same price range as it is now. Why buy a 450 HP Mustang for $70,000 when you can have a 450 Charger for $36,000?
Testing on the iron block version of the SRT performance based 6.1L HEMI V-8 for the trucks... what I am calling the 6.1L HEMI "MAGNUM" V-8, is still going on. The engine will not be available on early 2006 Ram Heavy Duty models. Instead the engine might be available as a late 2006 model year option, or saved for the 2007 model year, as I am told by my sources.
