I was looking at leases too...so that could be different as well. When you click on "lease" on the Dodge website, it says $3000 lease cash and no talk of ED pricing.

Here's the deal. I just got off the phone with the Fleet Manager and we talked numbers. He quotes me a price $500 more than the deal I had in my hand last Friday. He said this is due to the change in cash rebate going from $3,500 to $3,000. At the time his numbers didn't add up to my numbers in terms of the sell price reflecting 99% of Edmunds "Invoice". I didn't push the issue because of the situation with availability...

They have something I want ... and they're the only ones that have it.

However, I would make sure you run your own numbers against a build price using Edmunds. IMO the DC accountants and dealers are making this more complicated for me because I will never know the real employee discount based on the table on their Web site.... at least with my 1% below invoice fleet deal I had a basis to work from.

Here's the EP purchase rate from base MSRP on Dodge Web site:

Caravan 92.8%
Dakota 89.4%
Durango 88.8%
Grand Caravan 92.2%
Neon 91.2%
Ram 1500 Quad Cab 86.2%
Ram 1500 Regular Cab 86.5%
Stratus Coupe 90.0%
Stratus Sedan 91.2%
Ram 2500/3500 gas 85.9%
Ram 2500/3500 diesel 85.9%

Theoretically you should be able to apply this to the MSRP, less the rebate, and there's your price.

EP deal formula: $45,415 x 85.9% - $3,000 = $36,026

1% fleet deal formula: $39,943 x 99% - $3,500 = $36,043

Ironically they're the same.... however, he keeps giving me prices that don't add up.

They're playing games IMO.

Thanks for all the work putting that reply together. Not everyone can get the fleet deal, so I think this discount works out well for the "majority". This pricing is good for everyone, per say. Really it's looking very similar to last months discounts, but with very good marketing this time.

Humm...maybe I should just wait and get a 2006...[sm=violin.gif]
