RE: Dodge Caliber SRT-4
I would love to tell you, but I'm sworn to secracy not to tell till the magainze comes out. They don;t want to get scooped on there own story, and I can't blame them because they spent some major money for the event. What I can tell you, it is a big deal just to be ask to be there. They only ask the best builders in the country, and all can't get the cars sorted out in time to go. Some aren't sorted out when they get there. I happy with our performance in the event.
This is what was there:
AEM/DC Sports: Civic SI with a Turbo
Buscher Racing: Lancer EVO
Converse: Toyota Tacoma Turbo
Cosworth: Super Charged Ford Focus
Force Fed: Lotus Elise
Flyin Miata: Miata (go figure)
Hondata: Lotus Elise
Hondata: Civic SI with a Turbo
HKS: Lancer EVO
Howell Automotive: SRT-4
Mini Madness: Mini Cooper S
Statis Engineering: Audi A4 1.8T
SPT: Suburu WRX
Skunk 2: Civic SI
The testing was done the same as last time. Start out on pit road to get 0-60, and 1/4 mile, then turn into the infield road course for that time, then onto the main track at turn 3, the put a two 90's with cones to slow the cars to near zero, then wide open up to 130 mph. The record 100 to 130 speed, then the braking from 130 to zero to get the full run.
They did each car one at a time, and we each got 5 runs.

RE: Dodge Caliber SRT-4
On a completely unprepared surface, no VHT, no rubber, just asphalt and on street tires that were limited on compound the RWD/AWD were running 11's, and the FWD's 13's. The FWD were very traction limited, mph's were way high for the ET. Most of the cars would have beat the entire field that was at the 2003 event, where we finished 7th with a bad clutch.
