I heard the next Challenger will be on a shorter platform for weight reduction.
It'll be interesting to see how they go about a new New Challenger...the style sells it. Most people don't have a clue what a Challenger was, just that the new one is the sexiest thing on four wheels other than the new Viper.
And I agree, forced induction is the way to go for sure.

Interesting little tidbit of information...right when the Dart was first introduced, a couple Chrysler corporate people whom I know - and who know that I have a 72 Demon - asked me what I would think of there being a new Demon based on the Dart. They asked me if I would sort of disown the new Demon because it isnt a rwd, 2 door coupe to which i answered, absolutely not. Provided that it was some sort of performance package, i wouldnt be upset about a new sedan carrying the demon name.
Also, i have heard that the next gen challenger will be a little smaller and lighter - more along the dimensions of the mustang and camaro...but that has never been officially confirmed by the company.

Hopefully they will tweak the chassis so a real tire will fit under the back. You can stuff some fat meats under a Stang, but the Chally, Charger, 300 chassis only goes about 255 wide and that is way to narrow for looks and traction. A 10" wide rim and at least a 295mm tire should be standard on the SRT.
