You obviously dont understand the difference between a 3.0 and a 3.5 Gear Ratio and what differences they will make with a vehicles acceleration rate or the revolutions per minute factor.

Too bad you also have no clue when it comes out to pricing vehicles this day in age. Maybe your stuck in 1996 since a Z06 is in the same price class as the SRT-10 Viper, There are two Vipers at the Dodge store across the street where I used to work that are on sale for 78K and are Copper Head editions. And sorry, but if the Viper is ever discontinued the Vett will still be a piece of sh*t.

You the type of person who thinks because something is popular it must be good, maybe you should go back to grade school and start listening to your “Vanilla-Ice” CD Again. Makes a great match with your car.

You also don’t know the difference between and an 11.0 to 1 compression ratio VS a 9.6 to 1 ratio. GM struggles and struggle to catch up the Viper and yet still can-not catch it in the turns…. How Pathetic

The Viper is a low eleven-second ¼ mile car with a 3.5 gear ratio. But you probably don’t know what that means either. Chrysler hasn’t tried to beat anybody with the Viper for over a decade…. What do you think would happen if they even had a goal with the Viper…

It wouldn’t be fair to GM at all.

Since you want to be one of the ignorant ones, I guess I'll sum it up for you really quickly.....

You pay $85k for a car that's getting spanked by what you call basically a p.o.s. I dont care what EXCUSE you find, or what reason you bring up....the point of the issue is this..... a car with 2 less cylinders, 20k less, different gearing ratios and different compression ratios without a S/C is beating you.....

Yeah, GM is trying to "catch" you....buddy, they already done passed you...and the truth is.....more car companies are able to get the same performance out of a non-aspirated V8 that your getting out of that relic V10.....and what's worse...they arent the only ones....the Saleen S7 750hp and 700ftlbs toruq and Ford GT are all V8's......so why is the V10 so low end?

(the Ford GT is S/C'd....but I was just using it to point out that having a V10 doesnt exactly make you king of the hill)

You obviously missed my entire point....

You sound just like one of those idiot Mustang drivers trying to disrespect the SRT-4 drivers.....and yes...the Viper at one time was the be all of American sportscars....but every GREAT car has its down days as well...

That's what we're talking about.... we want a rebirth of the Viper...we want a car that bars no comparison to a Corvette....

You assume I'm a pro Corvette guy but I'm not, I just know the Viper isnt performing to where it needs to be...and Dodge has been slacking for a while now...

Oh, and for that extra 20 grand I spend on the Viper.....I expect to have the best, not some crap from 3 years ago.....and alot of Viper fans will back me up on that.... there's no excuse why a Corvette should have a better gearing ratio....or why the crappy V10 should have so low a HP number per cylinder....

And I'll say this....anytime you wanna throw down V8 to V10 comparisons....I'll be happy to point you to both the Sledgehammer and Lingenfelter Corvettes...both of which are quite nasty V8's....
