Viper rumor...
I just stumbled onto this thread. Have a few things to say.
1. I did not buy my Viper because it is a "Viper". I did not buy it because it is considered to be one of the baddest american cars built. I bought it because it is a blast to drive. I think many people on this site has forgotten what car ownership is all about sometimes.
2. People are bringing up costs. Let me add a few things about costs.
You can pickup a GEN I or GEN II resonable. Anywhere from 30K up.
These cars (I and most II), unless you totally beat them down or wreck them do not go down in value! I tracked GEN I prices
for 2 years prior to my purcahse. The average price was flat, not going up, not going down. Given flat to possible increasing prices
the I am saving 5, 10, 15, 20K buy buying another brand seems true, until you take resale into account.
3. Back to the fun of driving the car. You can take a Viper and put it at a red light next to any car. Place kids in front of the cars, and a very high percentage will be drawn to the Viper. There is nothing like putting a smile on a kids face. I usually keep matchbox cars in my car of a Viper to hand out to the kids that are really cool. Oh, and chics dig it to
I have one summer under my belt driving the car and several propositions and flashes. Something tells me driving my Ram or Jeep I would not have gotten those

Why cant some people take their head out of their ***, and realize Dodge People do not care about Corvettes. Some people will never learn, when a company putts 5 times as much money into a car, and it is still looked at as an inferior product they obviously don’t get it.…..
Yes you look stupid.

How do you figure that? Bling and add-ons are never ending to both cars. Performance wise you can do WAY more to the Viper. With the strained V8 Vette, there's a limit. That's why the Viper holds its spot for the fastest production car in the world with some add on mods. What was it? 0-60 in 2.9 seconds? So much for that idea.

I can do more with a Vette for about 20 grand less then you can get out of a stock Viper.
