I think smart cars would be a big hit in big cities! I am sure it would fatten up my gasoline wallet compared to what I am driving now!

NY might be a bit hit with so much traffic and small parking areas. Baltimore as well. Heck, I'd buy one!

Analysts and large share holders have repeatedly spoken out in favor of DaimlerChrysler dropping smart from its line-up
Which will happen soon... As we've been hearing about it non-stop... Bye bye Smart and good ridance...

That's a possibility, but then again an Italian motorcycle company was offered to pick it up.

I think it would be a good idea as long as they price them very competitively. If they do they could take some sales away from Hybrids by offering similar fuel economy for a better price.

Without having to replace expensive batteries every now and then. I think the smart would compare well with Toyota's 07 Yaris and the Geo Metro if that thing is still around.

The Metro was rebadged to Chevrolet and was dropped after 2001. What do you mean about not needing to replace batteries, the Yaris is not a Hybrid, it is the replacement for the Echo. If you mean the Prius then that would make sense. I would hope they would give their Diesels a try. I think Diesels are going to be the future of vehicles.
