Default Latest word on Viper Street Coupe?

What's the latest? Some rumors say it will debut later this year at the Viper Owners Invitational, others say there won't be one. Some folks think Viper will soon go away altogether; others mention an upcoming Hemi V10 for '07 or so.

What's the scoop?

Try a street coupe to debut in 2006 as a 2007 model. The coupe will more than likely debut a new interior design as well as the new HEMI "VIPER" V-10!

Thanks very much for the info!

The Hemi V10 is 7.7 liters, yes? Any word on power ratings yet?

Will the Street Coupe look approximately like the Comp Coupe?

I have heard 7.7L, but it isn't a fact as of yet, so I am not sure. The coupe will look very different than the Comp. Coupe.

7.7L would be a big step backward from the current V10. If they do anything with it, it should get bigger as well as meaner.

If they do an all-new 7.7 hemi engine that's lighter than the current motor and makes 600 hp with lots of room to expand and tune, that's not what I would call a "big step backward".

All I can say is, expect a HEMI "VIPER" V-10 pushing around 600 (600+) horsepower to the flywheel, as the sources out there say!

If you make the current V10 larger by boring it out more, it will be larger CID and slightly lighter(maybe .0001 pounds lighter, but that's still lighter[sm=smiley36.gif]) at the same time.[sm=smiley2.gif]

The Current 8.3 LA needs anything but cubes.

Headwork and compression would be first on my list.
