I'm insulted at the prospect of these people molesting these priceless, vintage cars. Instead of ricing them out, he should be restoring them to their original glory. If people want a "modernized" Challenger, why not wait until the new one is released. The E-body cars are rare enough as it is to find in their original, unmolested condition without them being "pimped out" by people.

Don't take it so personal...

From the article:

“The response to our Foose ’69 Camaro was fantastic, which led to an outpouring of requests for a similar car from MOPAR fans,†said Unique Performance President and CEO Douglas Hasty. “Our 1970 Challenger program is designed to fulfill those wishes with a very, very small run of an even more exclusive MOPAR

eh..i dont agree either...i think that chips work is great if you live in east LA..or maybe south central...and that goes for all classic muscle/pony cars...i dont understand how lowering, awful wheels, and paint has made this guy so famous...

nicko? youve got to be kidding me. nicko has an uneducated, inexperienced opinion of the classics...and he only does it to get a rise out of a select few people here...

slapping an ugly paint job, and some straight-out-tha-ghetto wheels ruins the performance and look of the old cars.

this is true... BUT those few people who actaully take the time to totally redo the suspension, braking, and drivetrains of these older cars actually make it better at handling, and overall performance.... there was a show on TV, cant remember the name but the guy built and then auctioned these "modernized" muscle cars...

ie:
Drum brakes upgraded to Disc
Air suspension (yes it can be used to imporve performance)

that is true, but taking an old car, slamming it to the ground with airbags, adding 24" steel wheels (huge increase in rotational mass) only makes it sit lower, and the wheels make the engine work twice as hard to go half as fast...also, the huge wheels kill the gear ratio, further slowing the car down.

mods that look nice and slow a car down = rice.
