I know we are down quite a bit. Which explains most of this. We were down for 5 weeks in July/Aug. We are going down again for the next two weeks. Then we are scheduled down for 4 weeks in Oct. Then another 3 weeks at Christmas. I just wish they would stop bouncing me in and out of the "job bank!"
I was in Illinois the other month, and passed by the Belvidere plant (for the new Caliber/Compass) and there was a lot of them sitting there. Of course, when they were making the Neons, there was a lot of Neons that sat there, and they are all gone.
Sure would be nice if corporate America could/would react to the real world a little more quickly.
Lower supply with the same demand equals a higher price on the consumer. It's a way for Chrysler to get back some of the 3 billion lost. Nice tactics Chrysler
And I just found out that in dec. chrysler will cut 4.7 production by almost 50 percent! They are laying off the second shift from that plant. Way to go Auburn Hills! Good thing you guys make the big money to send the company in the crapper!
