Where do you see black plastic? If you are talking about the fender flares and the bumper.....THEY ARE W-O-R-K TRUCKS; THEY AREN'T SUPPOSED TO BE EVERYDAY LUXURY TRUCKS!!!!

Work trucks don't need to look ugly, you're representing your business with that truck. Where do you get paint=luxury?

Project managers don't choose the company to build their (business, subdivision, what have you) based on how much "bling" their work trucks have.
That's why the higher-ups have their company Cadillac's and what-not.

Correct-o.
I think your missing the point. These are work trucks... you know, the ones that are out at the job site all day long, every week, all year. Most of the time their covered in dirt/mud, and snow in the winter time.

I agree that it makes perfect sense to have these pieces plastic as they are bound to be replaced time and time again when the trucks are under heavy use. I'm sure that if the black plastic pieces were a problem, you could certainly replace them/paint them to your specifications.

It would be just stupid to have those painted, they are like that for a purpose. Those molded plastic pieces are ALOT tougher than a painted fender. They are flexible, and chip resistant and wont ding. Just think of all the rocks, pebles, dirt, salt, and god knows what else that will take their tole on the guards. As for the looks of it, I dont see anything wrong with them, half the time you probly wont even be able to see them, since these trucks are too big to go through most car washes
