its obvious that dodge wasnt trying to reincarnate the demon with this model, but if it does pick up where the razor left off, and there is an SRT model, we could possibly see a low buck, high performance car, which is what the demon was in 1971.
mopar5949, there is no reason to be rude...you could have told him that you didnt like his opinion without being a ***** about it.

It's interesting to see how each group of people interpret this car, from one forum to another. I've seen this concept from an E-body website where there are a lot of people who remember the original Demons from '71-'72 and bring up the same points as a couple members have here. (and have expectedly gotten bashed for commenting on the originality of the name.) The thing is, it's not that bad of a car for the market they're trying to target with it, but there's still a lot of us out there who feel muscle car names shouldn't be resurrected unless the vehicle is retro-styled. (the Charger flopped in the looks department yet has nice power to make most happy, while the '08 Challenger concept appears to be a huge success overall.) Here's a couple photos of the Demon concept up-close in the well-designed interior and another of the designers...Considering the targeted market for this car, it's well-designed, but perhaps the initial naming of the car be changed to something more unique for the car.

I kinda like it. Change the name and clean up the harsh lines a little bit, I think they'd have a hit. If they'd throw in the 300hp four and price it around $25K, I'd consider replacing my 350Z.
I always thought the new charger should have been called coronet. The head lights have a slight triangle look. Similar to the 1968 coronet headlight grill. Side body moldings remind me more of the coronet '68-70.
The new avenger to me should have been called Dart. Side veiw reminds me of Dart's '67-'74.

Personally I like the dodge demon concept over the razor and pronto spider. I still like the copperhead.
Maybe they should use the name copperhead instead of demon, or maybe some other snake name?
