Well just the news about this possible "merger" is disturbing. Like said before, many products would overlap and Im afraid that Chrysler products would b cut. And where would that leave the Ram/Dakota and the LX cars (esp with the intro of the G8)? Not to mention the Viper. Can a company house two 600hp beasts?

I would muchrather see GM buy Chrysler, rather than some Japanese or Chinese company.

 

Same here. I'd rather see Chrysler being a completely American brand again than being in the hands of the Japanese manufactures and definitely over being in the hands of the Chinese.

 

I don't care who it is, just not an Asian company and not GM . Those would ruin Chrysler for good. Gm would kill off lots of vehicles and if it was an Asian company. Our Dodges would start looking like those plain *** dull Yotas and Hondas.

As an Australian i can tell you I would never ever buy a Holden so if GM bought Chrysler i'll will be finished with them, and that't coming from a life time Mopar fan. It still dosn't make sense to me If Mercedes sold Chrysler when at a time They are bringing all there new products out to the world and even pushing hard with Dodge in other markets around the world. I can see this as here we are getting the new product from Jeep/Chrysler and even the Dodge brand itself finally. They are finally getting a good name here now. But it's not Just here it is Aisa and Europe too. If Mercedes whant sell off Chrysler Why invest all that money Beijing Benz making the 300c along the E class at that new plant and soon Sebring along side C class. It really dosn't make sense to me

 

Does anybody think that Daimler is just doing this for publicity?
