RE: Who wants to buy Chrysler group?
Out of the list of possible owners.
Chery: H#!! no!
Kirk: okay but he seems kind of old.
Renalt-Nissan: interesting but I can't see an angle on why they would want to do it.
Ford: Chrysler has what Ford needs (a good V6 line, a good transmission line, a better V8 line, better styling, atrue performance division, a non-boring luxury division, etc.) Ford has whatChrysler needs (good car platforms, a provenbut weak I4, good interior quality, a base division). I could see it work but they need to get rid of those worthless companies so then they can afford them(Jaguar, Land Rover, Aston Martin, etc.).

RE: Who wants to buy Chrysler group?
mecedes will keep them
Agreed! I wish we will stop hearing all this because to me Chrysler are really pushing hard and geting there name out around the world more than they ever did. Look at the extra products and sales they are making in Europe, Asia ,Australia etc. and it is continuing each month and will continue with each new world car they bring out. Chrysler can and are in a position to go forward

RE: Who wants to buy Chrysler group?
Man, if Mercedes sells off the Chrysler group, I'm pretty certain Chrysler will go belly-up. The technology that Chrysler group gained from the merger is likely what gave it the edge needed to succeed/survive in today's market. None of us would know for sure, but I doubt Chrysler would be anywhere near where it is now if the merger hadn't gone forth.
The big problem with the company right now is that everything is done to make Mercedes look good instead of benefitting the whole company. Instead of firing assembly line workers, they should be concentrating on laying off more of the entrenched management that plagues the corporation and sucks away alot of thefunding that could be going elsewhere.
As well, it looks as though product planning within Chrysler group is starting to mirror what was going on during the waning days of Plymouth. There are too many "clone" vehicles appearing accross the different brands. Why do we need both a Jeep AND a Dodge version of all the new vehicles being released? In many cases, one brand is leeching off sales from the other. Before we know it, they'll want to discontinue Jeep too just like they did withPlymouth! The various brands should focus directly on making vehicles that fit their brand image. Why in the world Jeep needs it's own version uglified versionof the Caliber is a complete mystery to me.
What DCX really needs now is for someone to go into theiradministrative offices with a big corporate vacuum cleaner and suck up all the greedy, stagnant management. Then, with a proper team in place (one that wants to actually improve the company instead of making themselves temporarily rich) DCX could flourish and rise above all other competitors.
