Has anyone else read the latest news about GM talking to Daimler-Chrysler about purchasing the Chrysler division?

I swore 20 years ago that I would NEVER own another GM product. Maybe I'll end up going back to Ford for the next truck!

I am not argueing, because I have no facts, but I wonder how GM can buy anything, when they seemed to be struggling tryingpaying all the retirees from 2 generations ago!

 

I will be very amazed if either Ford, GM, or Chrysler still exists in another 10 years.

 

I have heard about that and hope that it doesn't happen. I hate to say it as I like Dodge a lot and have always been a Mopar fan but I think it's hard to beat a Ford. It's a good chance my next truck will be a Ford instead especially if this all happens. I do like my Dodge though and am more of a Dodge fan it just seems like Ford makes a better truck. Although this 6.0L diesel is crap and I don't like the F-150's after 03 so then again it might lead me back to a Dodge. Who knows. That probably is a long time away for me.

 

Yeah I just read that, but they had also mentioned a couple days ago that Renualt was talking about it also. All I can say if they do sell out, I wont be buying another New Dodge, I will stick with the years that was still Chysler or maybe I will just buy a damn Toyota,,,

 

Ok guys i am in contact with chrysler every day and have not heard a word of this from any one, As a matter of fact myregional chrysler rep said yesterday with the launch of our newparts ordering system (ARO)we will beon the first real upswing since 99-00.So relax until you hear news of that sort from the horses mouth
