Just got hard orders. Looks like I'm transferring to Offutt, AFB in Nebraska. Any Nebraska peeps here?

Very excited, it will put me 7hrs from home. My orders selection went like this.

1. DFW, TX
2. Pensacola, FL
3. Offutt, NE.

The detailer kept tellin me it would be selection 1 or 2. I was suprised but excited to be closer to home.

 

Great cool! Glad to here! I am going to finish getting my first degree and then going for the same level in a different mayjor and then maybe going to the police academy and then I was thinking military, but I am not sure yet. Working on school first.

 

Good luck brother. My timeline went like this.

1993-1997 Active duty
1997-2001 Full Time Police Officer/Navy Reserve
2001-Pres. Recalled to Active duty, chose to stay.

Definately get your degree. I'm working on finishing mine up now.

I'm actually stationed here at Offutt AFB. I've been here for 5 years, I'm a crewchief. The area is alright, I'm just not a big fan of the winter. I'm originally from alabama though.

 

I can only assume sometime in the next few years I'll be doin my time at offutt working for USSTRATCOM. As a 13S Missileer there arent too many choices for assignments. I was born at offutt by the way, guess it all comes full circle eventually.
