I have always likes the way sidepipes look, I use to draw them on every car when I was in elementary school, but there are certain cars that just shouldn't have them. A cousin of mine had bought a POS early-mid '80's V6 Camaro that had sidepipes on it, but only one side was functional. Sidepipes should never be put on anything with a 4 cylinder or a 6 cylinder, they should only be put on V8's and up.

I had a'68 Barracuda back in 1982-83 it had what we called "organ pipes" on it. they were side pipes with 4 outlets on each side. They exited in front of the rear wheels, and had little elbows that you could attach so that the exhaust would go up rather than out. This was a [sm=badidea.gif] because the hot exhaust started to damage the paint, and when it rained the exhaust would fill with water. That made for some good laughs when the engine started, but it probably wasn't good for the car.

Now look at this car. Its a 1969 Road Runner with a rediculous paint job. Imagine owning that now. Oh by the way I owned that car back in 1980.[sm=yikesomg.gif]

This summer I'm puting side pipes on my Cuda. I'm puting in a 340 and sidepipes. I love the look - I'll post the pics when its all done.
Funny, because my cuda is a coupe, not a fastback I'd also thought about the wing on the back, but I'd thought it'd need to be aboaut 3/4 heights to keep the proportions right...
