That looks great!!! Looks like that would flow alot better then the restrictive pie pan cleaners. I wish they made those 25 years ago. [sm=hail.gif]

Hi 71 Road Runner,

Your new K & N filter looks VERY cool! I was also thinking that a set of Cool-Flex radiator hoses and heater hoses would also look VERY cool on your car. They cost more than their rubber counterparts, but you only buy them once, as they have a LIFE TIME WARRANTY! I have the chrome radiator hoses with the polished aluminum end caps on my Coronet. I installed them back in 1995 and the picture of my engine that appears in my post above was taken this year, so you can see that the Cool Flex hose still looks like new after 10 years of service! I just bought a set of the chrome radiator hoses with chrome end caps for my Son's 72 Dart Swinger and I will post pictures of it after we get all of the engine and engine bay restoration work finished. Cool Flex makes the hoses in chrome, blue, red, purple and black and the end caps come in chrome, blue, red, purple, black and polished aluminum versions. You can also mix and match the hoses and end cap colors. For exsample, you could have chrome hose with black end caps, or blue hose with chrome end caps ect. I think if you go to their web site www.coolflex.com and check it out, you will be impressed with their products. [8D]

Thanks everybody! The previous set up with the Edlebrock lid and K & N Filter was nice, but since it has to have a drop base to fit under the hood it really cuts back on airflow. With the K & N filter lid it has plenty of air getting in.

I have thought about replacing the radiator and heater hoses with something better looking, but it will have to wait a while.

Right now I need to get the headers taken care of, they are Dynomax ceramic coated headers and are covered for life even against rust and they have developed rust, so they need to come off and be sent back to be recoated or replaced. I think what I will do is get the headers I've always wanted, Hooker Super Comp headers w/thermal barrier coating in 1 7/8" primary tubes, and replace my Flowmaster 50 series mufflers with the 40 series mufflers. This way I'll have the set up I've really always wanted and I won't have any down time having to wait for the headers to come back. Then when I get them back I can sell them and the 50 series to recover some of what the new stuff costs me.
