How can i get a starch out cause by dirt in a drying towel u can not feel the starch i tried rubbing compound it made it worse. the starch is on my hood it about 8 inches long[/align]

 

might try using a clay bar. Ive never tried one i have always buffed and polished mine but i have heard good things from ppl that has used them.

I think he means scratch. He should have used a scratch remover first. At this point, I think he needs to get a detailer with some power tools (DA) to fix it.

Yeah now its time to buff it out. I heard the Porter Cable (PC) is really good buffer/polisher tool. When I first read the title I was thinkingwtf just use a vacuum. Then I read the post and knew he ment scratch.

You need power tools. You need to find someone with a PC and some polish to eliminate the marring from the rubbing compound and the scratch or invest about $150 to get a PC, a pad, and some polish to do it yourself.

There are often detailers who have PC's that always want to use them so you may get lucky and get it done for not much money.
