Default The advantages of (APC) Acrylic paint conditioner over Wax

If you have ever wax a car on a regular basis you have a much better understanding of the pros and cons of Wax. And it seems that very few people understand that there is a fundamental difference between wax and polish. Basically Wax is a covering and polish is an abrasive cleaner.
Today the word polish can be used to describe anything that will put a shine on something.

The Acrylic paint conditioner is neither polish or wax. It is designed to work from within the paint rather than on top.

1. Never Dulls

2. Can be applied in hot sun

3. Can be applied in freezing temperature

4. Does not yellow

5. Does not have to be removed

6. Requires no buffing

7. Does not harden

8. Does not create swirl marks

9. Pure liquid

10. Rust resistant

11. Easy one step application

12. Eliminates the need for Clay

13. Eliminates the need for polish

14. Creates a shine within the paint

15. Is absorbed into the paint

16. Creates no debris or waste

17. For “Scratch Shield paint”

18. Preserves factory finish

19. Does not trap and hold particles

20. Has built in cleaning agents

21. Eliminates the need for soap

22. Protects Chrome & wheel from road salt

23. Conditions and shines black vinyl trim

24. Conditions and preserves clear headlights

25. Deoxidizes and restores color to acrylic paint

26. Conditions & replaces essential elements in paint

27. Takes less than a half an hour to apply

28. Unique in the market

29. Non abrasive

30. Efficient, 95% goes in the paint 5% in the towel

By comparison 'wax

1. Dulls

2. Cannot be applied in hot sun

3. Cannot be applied in freezing temperature

4. Yellows

5. Must be removed

6. Must be buffed

7. Hardens

8. Creates swirl marks

9. Solid and solids suspended in liquid

10. Has no rust inhibiting properties

11. Two stage application

12. Creates a need for clay

13. Creates conditions that require polish

14. Creates a wax shine on top of the paint

15. Sits on top of the paint

16. Wasteful and messy

17. Not for “Scratch Shield”paint

18. Replaces factory finish

19. Traps and holds particles

20. Has no built in cleaning agents

21. Creates a need for soap

22. Designed to be used on painted surfaces

23. Not designed for use on black vinyl trim

24. Has no conditioning effect on headlights

25. Is not a deoxidizer or color restorer.

26. Does not condition paint

27. Can take hours to apply

28. Common in the market

29. Can be abrasive when hard

30. Inefficient 95% winds up as waste

It is amazing how someone tries to sell a sealant as it was just invented. There are many sealants (do not contain natural waxes) on the market.

True the market is full of sealants that do not contain wax.
Vaporwax is not a sealant, it is an acrylic paint conditioner (APC).
It functions quite differently. Closer to a sun screen than a sealant.
There is no other company in the market that makes an acrylic paint conditioner.
Acrylic paint conditioning is somewhat new, it was introduced in 2007 three years ago. Developed by the same company that makes Pittman ALR, another product that is unique in the market, introduced in 2005.
VaporWax is not a wax covering, abrasive polish, or paint sealant.

What are the advantages to using a sealant before applying wax?
How long does it last?
Is it applied before each wax job?
I was under the impression that you would:
1. Clay
2. Polish
3. Clean
4. Wax or Seal
Actually I am confused on that whole clay and sealant process.

Paint sealant will last 6-12 months as wax will only last 2-3 months at best. Claying will make the car smooth as glass for better adhesion of the sealant or wax. Run your hand on your rocker panels or lift gate (such as a Durango) and it will feel like sandpaper, even after the vehicle is washed. The clay will take that embedded material off and the end result is very noticeable. It can also prevent the polish from picking up fine material and scratching the paint. I can clay my Durango in a half hour so it is not as time consuming as polishing,

I believe you about the rough feel on the paint.
I am a firm believer that the use of clay is necessary when wax is used on the car. I never use wax and I never had a need for clay.
There is no rough feel on my paint as you described. in fact it's slick.
I think as long as you use wax you will have a need for clay and a lot of other wax related products and tools
Buffers
Cleaner wax
Polish
Soap
etcetera.
I think if you like to buff and polish your paint then the use of wax is ideal, It will keep you busy.
When I was younger that was OK but I don't the time, energy or desire to stand out there and rub and buff on a car for hours.
But over and beyond that, I want to keep my paint looking new and I know from experience that wax, clay and polish won't do it.
