Problems shifting
I have a 96 dodge avenger es 2.5, it seems to take a long time to shift out of first gear i have to realy step on the gas but after that it shifts fine and it dosent happen all the time, when i first get in the car it shifts fine but after like two stops it starts but when i turn the car off it and restart it it the same thing happens again. I have replaced the trans filter and fluid with atf +4, input sensor, solenoid pack and i have a rear motor mount on order can some one please help me. Thank you.
without proper diagnostic equipment, it's a total guess. As you found out with the parts you already changed and that didn't fix the problem. I highly doubt it's a bad computer. This kind of stuff is indicative of internal issue
Ok took it to the shop they retrained the tcm and also said that i have a misfire, car still runs the same took it to my buddys house and we checked it over and found it not to be a miss but a bad fuel pump, his friend which as been a mech. for a long time and has a shop also said it was a bad fuel pump. just for got to ask him is a fuel pump for a 2.0 will work for a 2.5 eng dose any one know.
