I've got a 2008 avenger rt that's stuck in reverse.new Cable's and as I was changing the cables tried shifting linkage by hand on tranny to try and get it in park or neutral but it would not move any suggestions would be highly appreciated I'm stuck on this one.

 

Sounds like an internal linkage problem. You may have to pull the access pans to get a look inside.
