How many miles is on your's now? And do you still like it?
My SE Caliber w/CVThas 8500+miles & I love it more than ever. Runs tight & 100% with v.v.v. good Caliber mileage. Initially, I averaged 30+MPG. During the winter, Caliber fell to 28.4MPG. But with spring & summer gas, my average has risen to 29.4MPG & still rising.
I have almost 8000 miles on it now and bought it in December. Have not had any problems and get about 27 mpg on the highway. I have the R/T FWD with CVT. I enjoy driving it everyday.

If you guys saw the a Consumer Report article that the Caliber was a dissapointment due to road/engine noise, cheap plastics and based on the PT Cruiser which has not been updated for 5 years, do you concur? I agree with CR that my plastics in my Neon are cheap, it is a little noisy but for 9500 bucks new, it's no Lexus or Acura so.....take what you pay for. I want reliability and a solid car, no squeeks, rattles leaking. A little road noise is no problem, I drove my '64 Chevy C-10 with a 350, headers and dual 2 1/2" exhaust with glass packs, now thats noise!! Looks like you guys have a nice car.
Would you guys buy another Caliber with what you have experienced so far?
What transmission is the best choice? Not really knowing what they have, I know that the CVT is in the Calibers, but is it a good tranny? Get the manual? is there a regular automatic?
I hope the SRT-4 comes out, I would buy one of those in a heartbeat!!!!
My wife really likes the Calibers and I have an '05 Neon SXT-Orange Blast paint and she loves the paint but really likes the Caliber. May have to test drive one.
Thanks
Aaron

I have 10,000 km on my 07 Caliber SXT 2.0L/CVT and really enjoy the driving
the car with all its quirky gadgets or features.
If your a get up and go type driver and don't require AWD I would say
go for the RT 2.4L FWD/5spd.
My mpg are averaging 2-3mpg less than advertised rates and I have learned
how to treat the CVT,it does not like jack rabbit starts with regards to mpg.
