How do you all like your Calibers?
My girlfriend bought her 08 caliber in the end of june 08. It has almost 11,000 miles on it, and it's trouble free so far. It's a 2.0 too. Yes, Buy american. I am all about buying any american made product. Support your country, and your fellow american worker. We are Mopar nuts over in this house. =-)
I have a 2007 Caliber, and my husband and I aren't the biggest fans.... We've got almost 70,000 miles on it. We get good gas mileage, which is nice. It has terrible lines of sight! Dangerously terrible! The interior has not held up very well, either - it is difficult to clean. I've had some electrical issues also (my radio controls on my searing wheel don't always work, my cruise control doesn't always work, and my brake lights have now stopped working, which I'm being told is a computer problem). The roominess of the interior is very nice, but it is deceptive. I've had quite a few occasions where I couldn't fit something into the back hatchback opening, which makes all the room kind of pointless. However, I feel really safe driving it, and I've even taken it off-road a little bit (I don't have the ADW).
I really wish I had shopped around a little bit more.....
Sorry to be negative.....

Well Paleface, ya can't please everybody, and that's ok. Not everyone likes the Caliber. I do, but the main thing is that the wife does. It is hers and if she is happy, I am happy!!!!
Sounds like you have a clock spring problem in the column causing your radio controls/cruise problems. The brake lights run threough the column too so it could all be related.

Good morning all! I just purchased an `07 SXT 1.8L 5 Speed with 14K on it yesterday! It's the 1st time I've ever even heard of the Caliber. I don't know if they all have the features I have in mine, but it's pretty cool. Heated cloth seats, beer cooler in the glove box (I LOVE that!), electronic tire pressure thingiemajig, incadescent lighting on the dashboard, and what's with the 110V power outlet! That's a cool little, different feature!
I will say it was totally different from the last car! I am going from a `97 Caddy Seville STS with a 305hp N*, which I gave to the ex-wife, to this thing! :-)
It rides good, no noises, or anything! I was actually surprised how well it does. And according to the little gas MPG thing on the dashboard, 34.6mpg last night, with cruise set on 70 for the whole 73 miles! Now that's nice, especially driving 59 miles a day, one way for work, coming from a car that runs Premium only! UGH!
Glad to meet all your acquaintances!

Welcome aboard Goobz. Mostly standard features that you have there.
The MPG monitor in the dash is an option though, at least on an 09. Mine does not have that.
The wife drives about 7 miles to work in stop and go traffic plus warms it up in the mornings and it still got 20 mpg on the last tank. Not bad at all. If I drove it to work everyday (about 72 miles round trip) it would be over 30mpg too
