Default Transmission

Does anyone know how to check and change the transmission fluid/gear oil or whatever is in the cvt tranny of a 07 caliber?

The CVT inspection access is just below and to the left of the battery.You can see
the screw off cap but there is no dipstick supplied.The inspection of the fluid is
designated as a dealer function,the fluid itself is expensive and is composed of
a combined fluid and a special composite rubber like substance.
The fluid check itself involves temperature readings as well as volume.
Check your owners manual for the service schedule.The CVT is non repairable
at the dealer level and if need be is replaced as a whole unit.

Yep, the dealer can check the fluid with a Starscan tool I think. Amazing

Had mine checked at it's first oil change a couple of weeks ago. It needed a little topping off (factory likes to short change fluids). Less than 1/2 qt. The tech said DAMN,, that stuff is $27 a qt!!!!
