Ok, not too keen on the Calibers as I just bought one (SXT 2008), but is there no overdrive with this tranny?

 

Which tranny? The CVT2? It has a very low final drive ratio like OD, but can only be shifted into low and Drive. It uses a blet with a variable pitch pulley instead of gears. Many newer vehicles are using this technology now.
