Calling all Caliber owners
Well, if it is in the middle, that would pretty much rule out the alignment.
Either the tires are bouncing due to weak struts or tire balance. Often once they start, they will just continue wearing that way.

I just had my 2007 SXT Caliber in the dealer Monday. They replaced front pass strut and lower and upper control arms ball joints,etc... It has 35850 miles on it. The strut had a leak in it. So if the strut leaked and you did not know, that could cause over time for tires to wear wrong. It did the rest of suspention to wear wrong.
ykkrs, what year and color is your wife's? Ours is a 09 and the same color as My Ram.
Depends on what type of parts you are talking about. They have been around since 07 so there should be aftermarket stuff I would think. Ours is under warranty, so I honestly haven't looked up anything for it. Did have a front strut replaced a couple months ago under warranty because it was leaking.
Edit, I just checked Autozone website and they do not list a strut. You would think after4 years, there would be more replacement parts available.

My Wife has a 08 FWD with 87K on it & I just had to put both inter tie rod ends, both struts were leaking & a rear wheel bearing. I should have replaced both rear wheel bearing but I got the only one that I could find from the dealers near me. It just seems like everything went at once & with only 87K miles on it O ya I had to put a alternator on also. I got the rebuilt one from AutoZone at least it has a life time on it. This is our first Dodge Car & I am not that happy with it, I am use to having a Ford & not doing that much to them at least until it has over a 100K miles on it. If I have to do to much more on it I will go back to a Ford. I got a 03 Ram because I loved how it looked like a 1948 Ford, but it has over 200K miles on it & I have not had to do almost any thing to it but change the oil. So I don't think it is because it is a Dodge I just think that they took the easy way out on the Caliber & farmed out the parts to the cheapest vender's they could get. And there was no venders in the USA that could compete with the over seas price. I just hope this country comes to its self & starts making things right here in the Good Old USA
