Angry unbelieveable... 2009 caliber..

I have a 2009 Dodge Caliber, 12k miles, and code P0300, coolant in the oil, warranty voided due to a front end crash and an aftermarket radiator.
At any rate I am looking for the R and R instructions for the head job. Can anyone guide me to the instructions so that I may change out the head gasket and get my seemingly junker on the road again ? Thank you anyone in advance for your time.... Brian Hall.

Really, they voided the warranty because of an aftermarket radiator? Can they prove that the radiator caused the head gasket failure? Or does the wreck void the warranty?

Smile 12K miles... voided warranty..

Yes the two different dealers one then the other both confirmed the crash damage caused the voided warranty. It is ugly but not so bad that the engine should be denied coverage. The lack of information that I am operating on with this vehicle is a demonstration of the risk of buying a car at an auction. We could see a point score effect from the damage but raised no flags not to purchase it.

We are in the middle of repairing the head gasket but I wonder for the future of this vehicle if kept or re-sold from here. Thank you everyone for your help and comments.

I see. Auction cars can be a risky business.
These are usually pretty dependable cars. I'm guessing it got run hot after the wreck causing the head or gasket to fail.

Did you get the engine back together? If so, how does it run?

Thumbs up caliber drama...

Yes and thank you for your inquiry, I did finish the reassembly of the motor and it ran beautifully. (had to buy one odd tool, and extended torx head impact socket to reach one and only one hard to reach head bolt.) I did not need to change any injectors as my inspection of them proved they were clean and functional. The story of this car is a sad one. The mileage will be always condition to the warranty failure but the repair should make the car very reliable in the future. The dealership that owned the car has rolled it back acrossed the blocks at the auction and now somewhere this mystery ridden car continues on. Thank you all for your input I will continue to be a member of the dodge forum for so long as it exists.

I see. They seem to be good cars so maybe someone will get some good use out of it for a good price.
