Thanks Quickie Lube
will I partially blame myself for having my wife get the oil changed there, but our schedules have conflicted with the holidays and she needed an oil change now as she drives 750 miles a week for work....
this is what was left after I tried to remove what they buggered up, the d-bag must have put it on with an impact wrench and it was all scarred up before I even got a wrench on it....
this is off of a 08 Caliber, is this most likely a dealer item or is there a replacement at the parts store ??
thanks

yes there is a replacement at ANY autoparts store. I torque my drain plugs with a torque wrench to 20 ftlbs. and even on my own vehicles, I've had some drain plugs lockup where I boogered the end like yours in trying to remove.

I agree. Most of the kids working at these places know very little about cars. Let corporate know what's going on in the real world. I let the dealer do my oil changes. With coupons I get emailed from Dodge, it is usually cheaper than doing it myself.
