The shoes to squeak when you let off the brake. I can deal with that. But they squeak just as you come to a stop. It's a different type of squeak. I will grease the backing plate this weekend just to see if maybe it cures both noises.

I was surprised at the mpg too. We took it on a trip last summer and even with 3 adults and some luggage as well as sitting in a bunch of traffic at the Dayton air show, it still got 29mpg and I drove about 75mpg much of the trip. I like the car, even though many curse it as the Neon replacement. My niece has an 09 Avenger. Nice car, but the 2.4L in it feels anemic to me, but drives good once you get up to speed.
