Hello, we bought a 2008 Caliber this past summer and when the oil change indicator came on, I changed the oil, with Mobile 1 synthetic. This was at 45,113 Kms. The oil change minder just came on , with 49,542 Kms. 4400 Kms seems like a very short oil change, especially with synthetic. My 2006 Civic uses the same 5w20, and its oil change minder goes to 5% at around 12,000 Kms. Should I just reset the oil change reminder in the Caliber and go a little bit longer with the oil change, or does this engine really need fresh oil so frequently??

I think you will be fine to reset it and wait until it comes on again.
