Help, am in UK and have a little Dodge Calibre ... 2l diesel... car was running well until the EPS BAS lights started coming on intermittently... occassionally at higher speeds the engine would miss a beat but with no regular pattern. The fanbelt then started squealing and the battery light was on intermittently too.... last night the car would not start but did with a jump start.. however 2 minutes after starting nearly every light on the dash stayed on and although the engine was ticking over smoothly there was no power at all... accelerator pedal flat to the floor resulted in 5 mph if that....

Hoping that this is all down to battery/fan belt/altenator but dont think I am that lucky...

Any advice would be gratefully recieved

Sounds like your alternator is shot. Voltage at the battery when it is running should be around 14 volts.
