Welcome to the forum.

How did you run them separate? Most of the time, the noise is actually the one way clutch pulley on the alternator.

I am sure not sure about the clutch. These compressors are variable depending on system pressure and do not clutch cycle like most vehicles.

Default ac noise

ok i took the serpentine belt off and i use a leather belt about 3/8 tickness
with a clip, i cut the belt to fit from the damper to the pulley of each parts
using just little tension on the tensioner because the clip is not very strong

Not a bad idea. Perhaps Steak can chime in on the clutch part of it. I have never had ours apart yet, so I don't know.

No clutch replacement. VDOT compressor are controlled by changing displacement internally. They are replaced as a unit.
But these compressor has fairly low failure rate tho.

does the noise change with A/C ON vs A/C off?
