The power comes directly from PCM. And it is duty Cycle control. Btw, what are you check power with? if you are using a Test Light, it will NOT light up. Because it doesn't have enough current to light up a test light.
If you use a Volt Meter, it might give you some reading. However, there are number of things that can shut down the PCM from using the A/C compressor. Be it the pressure switch, evap temp switch, Ambient temp sensor, or a bad HVAC controller. And there really aren't any Common issue with the Caliber's A/C system. You need to Scan for Code with a Chrysler enhanced scanner to start.
Caliber A/C compressor doesn't have a clutch or relay. It is a Duty Cycled VDOT compressor.
What exact problem are you experiencing? and what have you done so far?
it's not taking freon an I vacuum it an it's an good compressor had to put another engine in the car an took it off the old one an put on the new engine an it was working great on the old motor
I vacuum it down an tries to add freon it's seemed to take some but it's still not blowing cool air. An it looks like the compressor running but the clutch never kicks on
I would start by checking all of the fuses in the fuse panel under the hood. The owners manual will tell you what each fuse and relay in the box, goes to.
No power to AC..trying to locate relay to check power at that point. Any help in location..
I also have an issue with my 2011 Caliber ac I scaned for codes and it is saying the ac compressor relay is not working . I check the compressor and it is on and turning and the clutch is engaged and turning . i also checked the low pressure line for pressure and it looks to be high but im not getting any cold ac .
