Default Bypass a/c

can i be able to bypass my ac compressor with a shorter belt on my 09 dodge caliber sxt?

Welcome to the forum.

I haven't looked at the belt orientation, but as tight as everything is, I would say probably not.
Why do you want to bypass it? Not working? Locked up? If you have a rattling noise, it is probably the one-way clutch pulley on the alternator.

There should be a belt and route for non A/C calibers.AA would point you in correct direction on belt and routing of it.
Use routing 7-55 for non AC 2.4L Caliber with belt Dayco 5060805. If you have 2.0 1.8....Just go place your Specs in AA and bring up belts/hoses and it will advise you which belt and routing for your engine If non AC Equipped.Not sure if that is tied into CAN system and may set CEL due to Compressor not running or cause high idle if AC is called for and you have bypassed it.

What is the AA and is there a diagram of what it should look like without it routed with AC . I have a diagram of what the belt should look like WITH ac but not without.
