Hello! My cruise control stopped working, but the indicator light still shows up on the dash. The computer is registering that the breaks are being applied when they are not. I am not sure if this is a common problem or not, and if there is something I would be able to do to fix it.

Welcome to the forum. Sorry to hear about your concern. This is not a common problem that I am aware of with the 2008 Caliber. Not common at all. You may have a bad switch on the brake pedal assembly causing a false reading to the PCM.
