Intake Manifold Sensor?
#11
A duckduckgo search came up with a procedure to clean the intake manifold using Seafoam or something similar, then switching to a "top tier" gasoline. Have done things similar in the past with spray carburetor cleaner. Probably worth a try. From what I've been reading, it sounds like this is a bigger problem with city driving and "cheap" gas.

It is amazing that DODGE / CHRYSLER has not issued a RECALL on this!
I have NEVER HEARD of an INTAKE MANIFOLD as a "WEAR ITEM" no matter what sort of System was implemented to get the best efficiency and power out of the Engine.
I own and drive one 1992 Toyota Camry XLE (Japan made) with 526,823 original miles without any Rebuilt History and I can assure you ALL that it has the original Fuel Injectors, Rack & Pinion power steering and many other parts and up to including the INTAKE Manifold and Exhaust Manifold. It keeps going and going!
This is just terrible for the consumer to purchase a vehicle that around 80,000 - 90,000 the Intake manifold has to come off and be replaced with a very expensive assembly plus lots of labor! It is no wonder why I see many of these cars in the Salvage yard, row and row.........without exhibiting any body damage! People just can't afford to fix these stupidly designed vehicles.
Here is my situation over at the Dodge Avenger Thread and up to now, NO ONE has come over to make one comment!
