Default Please Help! Clicking from passenger dash board.

I have a 2012 Dodge Caliber. There is a clicking noise coming from behind the passenger dash board. It happens when I turn on the vent/heat fan. It only lasts for a few seconds then stops. It comes back whenever I turn the fan off then back on. But, and here is the weird part, It clicks even after my car has been turned off for a long time (just randomly). Is my car possessed?

Sounds like a blend door actuator on it's way out. The little plastic gears are wearing off and starting to slip. It may last a long time or die tomorrow. No way to tell for sure. I would not move the temp any more than you have too. I am not sure how difficult it is to access the actuators on the Caliber. Our 09 uses old fashioned cables to move all of the duct work around. The changed to the actuators in 2010.

Pitbetty, I was unable to locate a TSB related to your vent concern. Have you taken the vehicle to your local certified FCA dealership to have this concern addressed? If not, and you need assistance setting up an appointment please send a private message with your VIN and contact information. Thank you, Emily – Social Care Specialist.
