Mine has been in "D" Status for several weeks now. I have not actually been able to call the 1-800 number .. I'm going to try and do that today...

Ok - well I just got off the phone with the 1-800 number above, and I do have a VIN number (finally), which they gave me the last eight digits. Unfortunately the car is not built, and they couldn't even estimate when this might happen.

I guess I just have to be patient...

If it makes you feel any better, once they do start building it, it should only take a day or so to actually build it. It will be built around the clock until its finished. So hopefully yours is coming up in the queue soon and then it can be out for delivery to the dealership, which will also take a few days depending on where it has to be shipped to starting from Illinois.

Does seem like its taking a long time though since you ordered it in Feb and its still not in the process of being built. Its been approx. 10 weeks since you ordered it, so I would think it would be coming up in the queue pretty quick unless they're getting behind in orders. Also, the salesman at the dealership I go to said that customer orders are always priority over regular dealer inventory orders.

We ordered ours on March 30th, salesman kept promising delivery by end of April, then changed delivery to mid May, then June. I cancelled and drove 300 miles and picked up a R/T AWD yesterday.

Love it!

I think your salesman was being really optimistic when you ordered a Caliber at the end of March and expected it to arrive by the end of April. No way in hell is Dodge going to build a car for you in less than a month. June is about right as most cars take about 6 to 10 weeks if you have the dealer order it.
